What is Utreva gel?

Utreva is a vaginal gel 8% containing progesterone gel. It is a female hormone, that helps in regulating ovulation and the menstruation cycle in women. This progesterone gel belongs to the category of medicines known as female hormones used to treat female infertility and to aid pregnancy. It is also used in restoring the menstrual cycle in women who have missed their periods. Utreva Gel induces changes in the endometrium lining of the uterus, relaxing the organ, blocking the maturation and release of follicles, and maintaining pregnancy. Progesterone is an essential hormone and increases the progesterone level in the body.

Also used help to replace hormone therapy in women to support pregnancy, prevent premature labor, and treat bleeding disorders that may occur before menopause & those who pass menopause. And use to prevent uterine Cancer.

Progesterone gel is placed in your vagina once a day for progesterone supplementation or twice a day for progesterone replacement using a special applicator as instructed by a doctor.

It is intended for intra-vaginal use only. In some cases, Utreva Gel can cause side effects like abdominal pain, headache, constipation, nausea, and breast enlargement. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Before using Utreva Gel tell your doctor if you have/had liver or kidney-related problems, heart problems, diabetes, asthma, epilepsy, migraine, or depression.
