SURE RAB RABIES VACCINE contains Rabies Virus which belongs to the category of medicines called Vaccines. It is an inactivated, purified, and lyophilized preparation of the Pitman Moore strain of rabies. It is used to prevent rabies before exposure to the rabies virus (pre-exposure prophylaxis) or after exposure to the rabies virus (post-exposure prophylaxis) in all age groups. Rabies is an infection that can be transmitted when a person is bitten, scratched, or even just licked by an infected animal if the animal could have rabies. If the vaccine is given immediately, it’s 100 percent effective.
