What is Progynova 1 mg?

Progynova 1 mg tablet contains Estradiol which is related to the category of medicines called Estrogens. This is a type of Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) used to treat postmenopausal women (with at least 6 months since their last natural period) to provide relief from symptoms that occurs after menopause. Like hot flushes, night sweats, mood swings, vaginal dryness, and decreased interest in sexual activity. Caused by a deficiency of female sex hormones.

Also used to treat and prevent osteoporosis (a condition marked by weak and fragile bones) which occurs after menopause in few women who are at high risk of fractures

Before taking these medicines inform your doctor if you have fibroids (non-cancerous growths inside the womb), endometriosis (growth of the womb lining outside the womb)/endometrial hyperplasia (excessive growth of the womb lining), and/or suffer from epilepsy, otosclerosis (a disease that affects eardrum and hearing), kidney problems, and/or lung problems (such as asthma), Liver related issue, any type of cancer, blood clotting issuing in vein,& u have suffered from Heart Diseases. Also, inform to the doctor if you are a pregnant & breastfeeding woman.
