What is Luprodex 11.25?

Luprodex 11.25 mg contains leuprolide acetate which is related to the category of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) medicine. Which is used in the treatment of prostate cancer in men. Prostate cancer is cancer of the prostate gland (a small gland under the bladder that produces semen) found only in men. The symptoms include difficulty in urination, pain, numbness, or sexual problems. Also used to treat hormone-responsive breast Cancer, uterine fibroids (non-cancerous growths of the uterus Endometriosis. Endometriosis is a painful illness in which the tissue that normally lines the inside of the uterus grows outside of your uterus.

Luprodex 11.25 mg Injection reduces the number of sex hormones (testosterone in men and estrogen in women). It works by decreasing the blood levels of testosterone in males. Luprodex 11.25 mg Injection also acts by shutting off hormones made by the ovaries (female reproductive organs), so the estrogen (one of the hormones that cause females to have periods) level is lowered. Also used in the treatment of central precocious puberty which a child’s body begins to change into an adult too soon caused by a release of certain hormones.
